Conde Nast is an award winning publishing website that produces stylish magazines with Vogue and Vanity Fair being a few to name. Condé Montrose Nast born in 1872 his parents were German Bu was born in New York. He was the founder of Condé Nast Publications and which in today’s modern society is one of America’s leading publishers. Also in Conde Nasts publishing office the chairman is Samuel Newhouse and Judy Tomlinson and the president of the publishing body is Charles Townsend. Within the cabinet there are a number of VP’s SVP’s and publishers. As of 2007 their total revenue adds up to and estimated $5million.

The headquarters of Conde Nast Is based in New York and they publish magazine such as fashion and life style(Vogue’s Mens) Home magazines publishing for magazines such as Architectural Digest and house and garden bridal, golf, food, culture and technology This shows that he publishing body is not targeting a niche market but publishes a diverse range of magazines. In addition to this it shows that it aims at audiences such as fashion designers or people who are interested in the fashion industry, chefs or people who have a likeliness to cook. Furthermore people who are interested in technology.

This shows that this company aims at different audiences which could be seen to give them a reasonable healthy profit and room for new business idea. In addition the only sector this publishing company can be seen to segregate is not publishing magazines for children or babies which could be seen as a downfall to the publishing empire, it also doesn’t include a music magazine which is quite a large and successful market that could be entered into.

This is evidence that the companies that Conde Nast publish need to be doing well in terms of costumers buying their magazine , if the amount of magazines drop so will the money the publishing firm makes.

Conde Nast has other business interests in terms of getting their name across and signing to more companies. They produced a website which consists of micro sites and media packs. They’ve also given information of hiring new staff which could be seen as making publishing more efficient. These business ideas can be seen to help the company as a whole by getting their name across etc.
They also look on selling parts of their business to shareholders.
To conclude Conde Nast is a successful publishing company as they do not focus on one genre magazine but a diverse group. Furthermore they could be seen as successful as they have a strong cabinet of employees.
