Audience Profiling

“A demographic profile is a term used in marketing, to describe a demographic grouping or a market segment. This typically involves age bands (as teenagers do not wish to purchase denture fixant), social class bands (as the rich may want different products than middle and lower classes and may be willing to pay more) and gender (partially because different physical attributes require different hygiene and clothing products, and partially because of the male/female mindsets).”

The audience for my magazine judging from my questionnaire results will be black people but with work and consideration i aim to have a wider audience of readers by not focusing on one genre and adding universal material.
My reading audience’s age may be around 16-19. It is likely that my audience is full of single people rather than married. My magazine is not targeted at a specific religion meaning that my audience is not a niche audience.
For the first two issues my magazine will be distributed at no cost as people not want to pay

Furthermore the only aspect that may be similar is that my audience may in favor of male as stats show that more males listen to hip-hop than females. My audience will be targeted at a male audience ageing form 13-25 with the name being ICONIC.
